John Adores Doe

John adores doe
In a flash it can change
Poor me turns to poor you in an instant and says,
"do you come here often"
"as often as I can"

Devil we know
It's the others we can't trust
Leaving trails of breadcrumbs to ensnare the host
Who has the time
We're barely making enemy's meat now

Loan some teardrops
Kindness has its flaws
Because we are all attracted to the debonaire clown
Does he command language
Or does it tool even the purveyor

Seedy player
Addresses the room
With a forked palate and before you know city, state, zip
Does the fault become our own
Or can we still hang a man for trying

I like this one a lot!!! I like how it takes rather cliched euphemism's and turn them into something new and complex. I especially like the last two lines, they seem slightly askew from the rest of the poem and make the ending extremely interesting.

How are you doing? All i know about your life right now is what you write in your blog :)
