is fun
in word games

Relatives are sticky --
games can be okay
but casual conversation
can let out secret feelings
that you will regret saying
later

Jealousy is the beast
that comes empty handed
and brings friends
Friends that don't like to play
word games
but like to eat cakes
especially with candles

The morning is filled with people that have no where to go
but work

On a cloudy day
you can imagine forever
being just past the fluffiest bunch

On a rainy day
express trains can take you clear across the country
to some other rainy lot
carved out of earth
and filled with sand and gravel
and made to look boxy and real

Somewhere near Clovis
or just outside of Oakland
there is a dugout
someone is crying
someone lost something lucky
this will happen over and over again
to all of us

In Queens County
things are wrapped in plastic
for their own sake
or the purpose unknown
better that way
with unintended consequences
occurring when the humidity
is at an all time high
