Is it taking in water,
or taking up water?

I can't be sure;
but I know it is taking up space

Taking in space
is a more cosmic proposition

Hobbies are up
as is soaking

Poking is out
and into

Striking up
bands and conversations

Striking out
against apartheid or perhaps parental guidance

Man up is macho
Man out, baseball

You can't really fuck in
the same way you can fuck up

Another day is bestowed upon you
A blessing or a curse

Shut up, shut down
or shut in

Bug out
Dig in

But just take up what you need to
Even sponges have a threshold on what they can take in

Don't get taken for
Or taken out

These are the simple actions
Everything else is semantics
