In Doing the Math

Conditions
Left to die
By the side of confusion
Roadkill; kiln and quilt
Shattered pie charts
Splintered into shards
Reacting to the pressure
Setting the bar
Too high to clear
Top heavy
A bevy of leverage
Left over from the last captor
A rogue equation
Merging two ideas
Death and taxes
Divided by minutae
Multiplied by love
Equals honor
A simple rough up
Leaving lips red and swollen
Some kissed, lip to lip
Others, by fist and done fast
But, carrying over
the decimal place
From scarce to worthwhile
Making memorable moments
Seem almost predictable
When push comes to shove
And translated into percentage
It looks reasonably efficient
