Wire Man

If you listen to ailments closely
They are begging you to die
In sweet soft whispers they say
Aren't you tired, Honey?

When all the stations sound the same
The squelch of the wheels
Down to shiny metal on metal
It's time for broadcasted silence

You can't afford to not die
With windows in front of your windows
There is glass everywhere
Just use some of it for something else

When we recycle rain
We imagine the earth as a filter
But what it really is
Is an unmade clock

Before calling the hospital
To ask about your plan
Take a picture of your belly
And send it to CNN

After losing your best friend
Eat something delicious
And remember the good times
When you had bone and memory to spare

In the comic world of electricity
It gets harnessed and ridden
Like a mermaid on ecstasy
As prolific as the currents

Angina doesn't sound like fun
Neither does scleroderma or bladder wrack
But in the coursing amperage of dark energy
It sounds like flower boxing or rock candy

In twenty years
You will be so miserable
You will wish you had taken my advise
But for now, enjoy every moment
Like it's a silly silly movie
