par for course

When pack your bags is number three
Lists are elusive
Concerned with materials
Not knowing how to utilize tools
Bad monkey
Grown ups are so:
Patterned, formulated, contrived, lazy
But look good in stripes
And on vacation

When number two is profit and loss
Money is coming and going
Transient like wet oilcloth
Outside a Dostoevsky dinner party
Not properly managed
The adult is like an unspanked child
In many ways:
Grumpy, manipulative, stubborn, ungrateful
But earning keep opens up the pheromone receptors
Making way for steamy seed

When number one is get keys
There are other issues at hand
For even the baboon and wolf know
Rocks in front of cave is a burial
Serpent dark, spider dark
Perpetually howling:
Thorn, pebble, buckshot, break
Fireside chats with Teddy
Perry Mason wins
