Passing Station Square

Whitepot,
You carry such beautiful lines
Against the crooked posture of history

And, you make no exceptions --
To be erect is to warrant perfection

Even when falling apart
Your flaws appreciate

Like ancient bottles
Softened by the sea or
Archways formed in great red mass

Even when deserted
You welcome righteous companionship

And gracefully nod
At noon day sun;
With a chivalrous wink
Toward wintry moon
