What It Is

It's not that I don't think you're beautiful
It's a small problem I have
With looking at things on such a microscopic level
That zooming out is not an option
Up close like this
A lot of people are ugly
Not just you, baby
Not just you

It takes a woman like you
To bring out the worst in me, baby
I can get caught up on those dots and follicles and marks for days
Lost in a dimpled world of imperfections
Some people say imperfections are beautiful, baby
Not me
You should find them
Those are your people

I'm a lot like you, baby
Except I take care of myself
And I except my own imperfections
Because I except my ugly
I don't want to make it beautiful, baby
I like it ugly
But you
You want imperfections to be beautiful
And I
I just can't stand for that
