In This Future

Parachuters walk among us
A strange mix of underwear, farm fabrics and shrouds
Bags are boxes
The horses have all died and no one seems to mind
The overlords have wound the clocks tight

There are no parasols
Shields have been constructed to insure only stripes of intermittent sun
There is no shortage of clean water but the packaging demands are high
Slaves are not slaves, but everyone is on call except family physicians

Ruler communicates through incessant speaker box delivery and return system
No one knows who the ruler is
The ruler has convinced everyone that there are multiple rulers
The rulers are convinced that everyone is a ruler
The everyones are confused but adhere to strict patterns that appear random

The paper barons have gone underground
People are prepared to go into flight at any moment or perform welding or feign blindness
There is a complicated structure to slippers
Necklaces are connected to the brain
