Not Interested in Wan Jan

It is not just not liking
There are not enough vowels
Not enough letters
Never not painful enough
To not be more dramatic
Not yellow but pale and bullied
Shoved into not being weekend
Not pale but sickly
And it is not like nothing great happens
But not without hassle
And if not for the Boomtown Rats
Would we not have a song?
I will not say more
Other than not ending by saying that it is obvious
Not that the Moon is a man and the Sun, his sister
Not father sun or brother sun
Not sister moon or wife moon
Not left wondering if Montauk is really American Native
And all along I blamed not my life or wife
Or a string of not worthy circumstances
But to not have anything to blame
Is worse that not having a weekend
Or a weekend that does not have a terminal
And that is where this is not fair
That there is termination and not determination
That there is waning excitement and not reassignment
Where complicated vowels are not allowed their proper due
And not long enough is not good enough
Which would take us not too long to figure out
But at least would not make us feel stupid
About our own not liking
In our own not so special way
We are not so dissimilar
You and not I
We are just not close enough in proximity
And not permitted to create any kind of connection
Because of what might not get done
If there was not a break in the cycle
Not a line in the sand
Not a box around a number
Signifying our not being interested
In what is not the best day of the week
